Anita Palma

Anita Palma has been awarded her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in December 2011. The main subject of her thesis work was the substrate specificity analysis of Classical Protein Tyrosine Phosphatases, by using the peptide microarray technology.

She is currently working in Prof. Scoles group in the Department of Medical and Biological Sciences at the University of Udine on a project entitled “Characterization of Cardiac Stem Cell Biomarkers by nanoproteomic analysis”.

Her area of expertise is in the molecular biology. She acquired competences in both cell culture handling and proteomics techniques. She has very good skills in protein purification, western blot analysis and immunofluorescence staining. Her research focuses on the molecular and morphological characterization of Multipotent Adult Stem Cells by the combination of Atomic Force Microscopy with Fluorescence Microscopy.
