Giuseppe Gianfranceschi

Giuseppe Gianfranceschi has been awarded the Master degree in Molecular and Industrial Biotecnologies from University of Perugia in 2011 with 110/110 cum laude. Before graduation he carried out an internship within the course in the Department of Experimental Medicine and Biochemical Sciences, University of Perugia, learning about the primary techniques of recombinant DNA. He is now pursuing his PhD in “Clinical Sciences and Technologies”, working in Prof. Scoles group in the Department of Medical and Biological Sciences at the University of Udine on a project entitled “Application of Advanced Nanotechnology in the Development of Innovative Cancer Diagnostic Tools”. Specifically, he’s involved in a project aimed at dissecting the mechanisms responsible for cardiac stem cell senescence and at developing innovative pharmacological strategies able to interfere with the cell senescence processes. Moreover, he’s interested in studying and using miRNAs as circulating biomarkers in heart failure.
